Community Seeds is powered by an incredible network of supporters — over 100 dedicated volunteers annually — who give their time, talents, and resources to transform lives in Hunt and Rains County.

Volunteer Opportunities

Direct Service Volunteers

Food Pantry Team

  • Organizing and distributing food to families in need
  • Sorting donations and maintaining inventory
  • Assisting families during pantry visits
  • Commitment: 2–4 hours weekly

Clothing Closet Assistants

  • Organizing donated clothing by size and season
  • Helping families select appropriate items
  • Processing new donations
  • Commitment: 3–4 hours monthly

Emergency Assistance Support

  • Conducting intake interviews with families
  • Verifying assistance needs and documentation
  • Coordinating with partner organizations
  • Commitment: 4 hours weekly

Educational Program Volunteers

GED Support Tutors

  • Assisting adults preparing for GED exams
  • Providing one-on-one academic support

Monthly Giving Program — “Seeds of Hope”

  • $25/month: Provides emergency food assistance for one family
  • $50/month: Supports utility assistance for families in crisis
  • $100/month: Funds job training materials and certification costs
  • $250/month: Sponsors a family through our comprehensive support program

Annual Giving Opportunities

  • Founder's Circle ($1,000+): Recognition in annual report and newsletters, exclusive facility tours and program updates, invitation to special donor events, and a personal thank you from leadership.
  • Community Champion ($500–$999): Newsletter recognition, annual impact report, invitation to volunteer appreciation events.
  • Hope Builder ($250–$499): Quarterly updates on program impact, recognition in community publications.
  • Seed Planter ($100–$249): Thank you note and tax receipt, annual community impact summary.
  • Friend of Community Seeds (Up to $99): Personal thank you and tax receipt.
